Lift Your Head Up, We Are Bayern Munich!
Munich's Allianz Arena Tonight, Bayern fell in the Club World Cup quarterfinals. The score was 0:2, losing to Paris Saint-Germain who were down to 9 men. It seemed like a match that could be explained by the numbers, but for those of us who have supported Bayern for years, it wasn’t just about winning or losing. I remember the rhythm when the match entered the second half. Bayern pressed high, creating chances continuously, but just lacked that final touch. Then came the 78th minute, when Doué’s strike broke the deadlock. The camera swept over the bench, and Kompany’s expression was like a lake instantly dried by wind - emotionless, yet conveying an immense silence.

Mourning the Passing of Diogo Jota
LIVE As a Bayern Munich fan, I never thought I would mention Diogo Jota in such circumstances. He wasn’t a member of our team, yet he was one of the most familiar and respected opponents we faced in European competitions. His passing not only deprives Liverpool of an important player, but also robs European football of a true warrior.

Breathing Slowly Between Snow Mountains and Lakes
The Alps Some places need no words. Interlaken is such a place—between two lakes, embraced by mountains, like a deliberate blank left by nature, allowing people to let go of speed and thought, approaching slowly with only sight and breath. I arrived at the tail end of early summer. The morning air was slightly cool, clouds rising slowly from the hillsides, wandering between eaves and pine forests. Everything was just right, like an unfinished painting that preserved the perfect amount of white space.

A Town from Heaven: Hallstatt
Hallstatt Town Hallstatt is an existence of extreme lightness. It’s not as complex as Paris, nor as rational as Munich. It’s more like a watercolor painting, with light color blocks and gentle lines. Standing by the lake, you might even have an illusion: this is not a real village, but some kind of memory’s depiction of nature in a dream. I arrived on a day in late June, with soft sunlight and slowly dispersing clouds. The lake was as calm as an unpolished mirror, capturing the mountain shadows, church spires, eaves, and sky, with even the wind reluctant to disturb it. I walked slowly along the lakeside path, listening to my footsteps on the stone slabs, as if responding to some rhythm of the water surface.

Beyond Speed, Into Silence: A Mechanical Stroll Through Munich...
BMW Company in Munich, Bavaria, Germany Cars have never been mere cold machines. They carry speed, and they carry eras. That day, I walked into the BMW Museum in Munich, as if entering a timeline written in metal, engines, and curves. The exterior is a streamlined silver building, clean and clear, much like the rational beauty that the brand itself insists on. Inside, however, it’s a different feeling—light, flow, sound, and even the subtle scent of motor oil in the air, all quietly engaging one’s senses. Not ostentatious display, but a restrained and precise narrative.

Those Memories of Paris...
The Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France Paris always carries a contradictory temperament: both romantic and realistic, both classical and avant-garde. Paris in June is especially so, with sunshine that’s neither rushed nor slow, and wind that has a temperature that makes one willing to slow down. I stayed here for four days. Not long, yet enough to pause on the streets and give myself some moments alone with the city.

G.E.M.'s Concert in Hefei on March 30
Last Saturday night (March 30), I was fortunate to attend G.E.M. Gloria Tang Tsz Kei’s “G.E.M. I AM GLORIA World Tour” concert in Hefei. This was my first concert in three years since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the experience was fantastic! G.E.M.’s vocal performance was as impressive as ever. I’m looking forward to attending her concert again, though I hope next time it will be in Germany (haha).

Pretrained Transformer for Low-Light Image Enhancement
#Research#Artificial Intelligence
Graphical Abstract Abstract Low-light image enhancement is a longstanding low-level vision problem, as low-light images often suffer from severe aesthetic quality degradation. Current deep neural network-based low-light image enhancement methods have made significant progress on this task. Unlike mainstream CNN-based approaches, we propose an effective low-light enhancement solution inspired by Transformers, which have demonstrated superior performance across various tasks, to address this issue. The key components of this solution include an image synthesis pipeline and a robust Transformer-based pretrained model named LIET. Specifically, the image synthesis pipeline consists of illumination simulation and real noise simulation, enabling the generation of more realistic low-light images to alleviate the data scarcity bottleneck. LIET incorporates a pair of simplified CNN-based encoders/decoders and a Transformer backbone, capable of efficiently extracting global/local contextual features at relatively low computational cost. We comprehensively evaluate the proposed method through extensive experiments, and the results demonstrate that our solution is highly competitive with state-of-the-art methods. All code will be released soon.

A New Starting Point for My Personal Homepage
Recently, I decided to breathe new life into my personal homepage by giving it a complete style overhaul. While the previous design was loved for its simplicity, over time, I kept adding new features, which gradually made the page lose its original clarity and minimalism. So, I took this opportunity to redesign and deploy a brand-new style for the homepage, while also standardizing my blog production process to make it more efficient and easier to manage. This revamp wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was also a special birthday gift to myself 🍰.
